Our History

Since its inception in 1986, Missoula Motor Company has stood as a beacon of trust and reliability in the automotive industry. Formerly known as Karl Tyler Chevrolet, and owned by Karl Tyler, our roots run deep, and the instilled core values and principles have remained throughout the years.

Under the stewardship of Brad Morehouse and his wife Janelle, the spirit of integrity and commitment to excellence continues to thrive within Missoula Motor Company. Brad’s journey in the automotive industry began at his father’s dealership, Laramie GM Auto Center. In 2001, Laramie GM Auto Center was purchased by the Rydell Company and marked the beginning of Brad and Janelle’s journey to Missoula. In 2020, Brad found himself in Sheboygan, WI assisting with another Rydell store for the next three years. In 2023, Rydell assumed ownership of Karl Tyler Chevrolet and Volkswagen in Missoula and Brad took leadership of the current Missoula Motor Company. Upholding the values passed down from Karl Tyler, they continue to prioritize integrity, honesty, and a customer-first approach in everything they do.

Brad and Janelle’s three children are actively involved in the dealership, making it a true family-driven enterprise. Their shared love for the outdoors, sports (go Griz!), and adventure fuels their passion for serving the community and enhancing the car-buying experience for every customer.
